Conferences, seminars & training
The Judicial Commission offers an extensive conference and seminar programme for judicial officers in each court, ranging from induction courses for new appointees to specialist conferences. The Commission provides special seminars on topics of importance to judicial officers, including social context issues.
Conferences and seminars are organised on a regular basis to keep judicial officers up to date with current developments and emerging trends. The conference and seminar topics include areas identified as needing review or which have been affected by major changes in the law. They range from sessions on specific aspects of the law and legal procedure to judicial skills and socio-legal matters.
Computer training courses aim to facilitate effective use of computers in the context of the court system, and to enable access to on-line legal databases.
