Jurisdiction

Section 134(1): Proceedings for an offence against the Act, other than s 100(1) or (1B), or the regulations are to be disposed of summarily before the Local Court.

Section 134(2): Ch 5 of the CP Act (summary disposal of certain indictable offences unless an election is made to proceed on indictment) applies to and in respect of an offence under s 100(1) or (1B).

Time for commencement

Section 134(3): Proceedings for such an offence may be commenced at any time within 2 yrs after the date on which the offence is alleged to have been committed.
