Jurisdiction

Proceedings for an offence against the Act or regulations may be dealt with summarily before the Local Court or the Supreme Court in its summary jurisdiction: s 34. The maximum monetary penalty in the Local Court is 200 penalty units despite any higher maximum penalty: s 34(2).
